Huddlestone I like, and the kind of player we need.

Downing tweeting about Milner leaving England camp ?

Huddlestone has tweeted that he was amazed who he saw entering the Spuds training ground via the back entrance. Coincidence?

think he was talking about Cheryl Cole

Just on Enda Stevens, a couple of my mates are big Rovers fans.

Solid if unspectacular full back who isnt with them long but fit into the team immediately.

Impossible to tell how he will fare making the step up to the Premier League. On the one hand the likes of Kevin Doyle, Seamus Coleman and Shane Long would not have been very highly rated before they made the move across and are now quality PL players. On the other hand the likes of Keith Fahey, Jason Byrne and Roy O'Donovan would have been the best players in the league before making the move over and haven't exactly established themselves!!

Big difference, I suppose, between the first 3 and second 3 is the age they came over. Stevens is still only 21. He's won the Irish League and will have competed in a lengthy European game. He'll be one for next season I would imagine.

Stweart Downing doesnt have a twitter account folks.  lets not get excited for no reason about Milner coming back to us.  Can't see a player coming back to a club for a 3rd time.  Has that ever happened???

Would be great to have Huddlestone but Spuds definitely wont sell.

Agreed we are a couple of injuries from disaster and god help us if given and bent get injured and we have to rely on guzan and heskey- we are in a mess and with 12 hours left on deadline day it should never have come to this.

By all means recoup some cash and cut wages but its gone too far too fast and we are far too short of experienced players with a long season ahead.

Can't see Milner coming back. Can't say I want him either. I'd rather have Adam Johnson off city.

I can't make my mind up about Huddlestone, but I can about Twitter and I make it about as reliable as Vanessa Feltz looking after your chocolate.

I don't think anybody would be moronic enough to suggest that Milner would come anywhere near Villa Park other than to play against us.

a couple of injuries from disaster ?

so buying the players we have been linked with so far, Jenas, Ridgwell, Hutton and every other average no mark would make the situation a lot better would it ?

no thanks , i'd rather take me chances as they are

We need a director of football, or some sort of strategy.

Why we are signing Alan Hutton for £4m, when Davide Santon who has gone for £5m to Newcastle is beyond me. A 20 year old, full Italy international who's only gonna go up in value. It makes no sense.

Fulham and Newcastle are scouting and signing the best from the Erividise and Ligue 1 respectively. Why aren't we doing that?
