It's getting to the stage where I would prefer a press release from VP stating that we aren't signing no one. This is so we don't have another 24 hours of being linked to the pathetic calibre of players that we have been linked to in the last 24 hours.

The players linked to Villa have sank from the exciting, to the interesting, to the potentially OK, to the possible, to the 'well if we have to', to the 'only if we are really desperate', right down to the 'Oh no! Please not him'.

 bring in loan moves for afellay at barca, joe cole, macheda from man utd and ferreira from chelsea then we would have a strong team.

Isn't that the problem though, we are so desperate for a signing, we will seemingly take anyone. I would prefer 4 that could add something, but a) will we get that many b) will they take us forward, or would they be just fillers?
