Shaun Maloney could be heading to Wigan apparently, I give it until January before he presumably gets homesick and goes back.

This is just such a shambles. We're selling all our best players, and when oppotunities arrise to buy some good players we're passing up on those brilliant oppotunities? It'll be hilarious if Dann signs for Blackburn.

We've got to do some GOOD buisness from now until the transfer window closes. A new midfielder is an absolute priority after Makoun has left on loan.

Agree on Dann. At his age and current price, we should be taking him and moving Carlos on.

I would like Dempsey in as I think he slips under the radar playing for Fulham. An intl with plenty of PL experience and not too old at 28.

As for Enda Stevens I know nothing about him. I assume he's being scouted so AM's team see some talent there. He may flop or he might be the next Seamus Coleman. For years people have complained about us only buying established PL players on inflated wages. Why not take a punt at 250k on a young unknown in a position we need cover in?

Agree on the young left back, and it appears Blackburn and Sunderland have been sniffing round him too.

Dempsey is a superb player, really like him, but can't see us stumping the money or Fulham selling. Hargreaves, Dempsey, Hutton would be a good 36 hours now.

Dempsey and dann are out of our price range- Hargreaves , Hutton and enda would probably be the best we could hope for.

Has anyone figured out how much we are saving on the wage bill with all the departures. my guess it has to be close to £300K net per week £15M in a year. Anyone have a better sense ?

In a desperate attempt to sound optimistic...if we cast our minds back to MONs departure, it was widely reported that he and Randy had a bust over a sell before he could buy policy to reduce the wage bill and clear out some of the players that were just sat here wasting resources every week. Obviously GH didnt have a summer transfer window to deal with and in January his job changed to more keeping us up rather than trim the squad.

If part of AMs job description is to fulfill the orders issed to MON so he can sign players then surely getting rid of the players that have left so far (with the exception of AY and SD) has got to be a good thing for the club? AM has now had time to assess the squad, contracts and identify which players are surplus to requirements so may be this is the start of a rebuildng process which will allow further signings in January and next summer?

Surely this has to be a better and more constructive theory than the fire sale of any players we may receive offers for? Well its what I'm going to be hoping for to be the truth over the next few months at least.

Hutton on loan and enda Stevens from shamrock at £250k according to the mirror reports both the targets.

I hope this latest bit of panic selling isn't just so we can bring in Hutton. He's not very good.

Hutton is a decent player but we still obviously need more.
Certainly a powerful central midfielder and wing cover.

Hutton only on loan? - why?

Can't see Spurs doing a loan deal at all.  He only has a year left on his deal.

Because we haven't got a pot to piss in? This summer transfer window is beginning to resemble a high stakes game of Kerplunk. Pull out Young, Downing, Walker, NRC, and the team's marbles haven't dropped. Lets pull out Makoun and Luke as well. Oh and that Beye doesn't seem to be holding up anything either.

It would be pointless unless it's the best offer they've had and want him off the wage bill.
