Don't mind this as much if we get say, a Dann or Milner -initially on loan and then signed on permanent deals in the next tax year. As per the Davies deal a few years back.

But jobbing squad fillers or helping other clubs to blood their youngsters will be a bit shit really.  As will Hargreaves-style busted flushes.

no chance of milner and id be amazed if we signed dann- id expect the likes of hargreaves or benayoun to be more realistic options as well as hutton, i think we may well get all 3.

If people start exulting over the arrival of the likes of Hutton (3rd choice at Spurs), Hargreaves (certified dead on at least three occasions) and Benayoun (does something exciting that catches the eye of the casual supporter about three times a season) then I'm eyeing up a patch of wall between the CD shelves to bang my head on.

looks like makoun has gone...

Yes he has, there's a picture of him on Olympiakos' website stretching the shirt.

I'll be sending my shirt back to the club then!

why? Isn't that risk you take when you buy club merchandise? I think calendars are the worst for this type of thing. I know it hasn't been long since he arrived, but it's always a possibility that a player doesn't settle and gets sold. Not the clubs fault really.

Who's fault is it that we're getting rid of all of our players then?

Tell you what, go nowhere near Villa Park prior to transfer deadline if you've got your own name printed on the back of one of our shirts, chances are club will sell you too...!

I'm sure ideally it would have been the likes of Beye, Heskey and maybe even Carlos as first picks to go.

But you can't move them on if the demand isn't there.  Or if you're dealing with skint SPL clubs who offer buttons.

it happens. The player hasn't settled and the manager that bought him got sick. Is that the club's fault?

Beye going too. Holy cow. Must mean a hectic last couple of days ahead. Heskey will stay until the end of his deal and Carlos isn't going anywhere. I would hope there are 3-4 coming in now (permanent and loan deals)

Wish Jean Deux all the best in Greece. For whatever reason he's just not got going with us.

He'll be playing with King Olof there.

Has Beye really gone? I need confirmation before putting up the bunting.

With so many departures we really will need a couple of decent players in. With the successive dashing of hopes that has happened this window I wouldn't be surprised if we don't get them.

Having the first Zombie in PL history is something to get the missing thousands back through the gates.

In isolation, no, it's not the club's fault. Add selling both Youngs, Downing, Reo-Coker and others to that list then yes it is.

I am inclined to agree with you, but don't forget to select a suitable track for the head banging session. King Crimson's 21st Century Schizoid Man is my current favourite for this therapeutic activity.

With the Big Eck/ Scottish connection - how about Gordon on loan?  As cover for Given.

Slumberland signed that lad from Coventry this summer whose name escapes me at present and currently have Mingolet as no.1.  3 into 1 doesn't go.

With the frequency Given seems to be picking up knocks, any no.2 looks like he might actually see a bit of game time with us this season...

if you think about though, AM has been pretty true to his word. He's said no deals until we do a bit a trading and he's stuck by that. All a sudden we've got some lads leaving and when asked prior to the Wolves game he confirmed that some deals for "experienced" players would be happening. I'm happy if it's true about Beye. That will be two 31+ players gone and about 80 grand of the bill.

He's stuck to the players out thing he said, let's hope we also see the players in bit.

It's all pointing to Hutton is'nt it? I've not seen a great deal of him. Spuds did pay a lot of money for him (£9m i thnk) and he's worked with Mcleish before. As for the midfielder, Hargreaves would be too much of a gamble. One tackle and he could be crocked again.
