Haha. Come on silly i mean squad.

Well it was a good point about wages so maybe some swap deals to help reduce costs.

For eg if ireland was offered in swap deal for cole or smith then we re talking sound business.

Also maybe offering ireland to qpr or better still chelsea, if modric deals falls through, in swap for loans of ferreira and sturridge.

Theres also possibility , though i admit a bit speculative, moving for macheda for two season loan and ireland being given in return.

Another swap deal would be cuellar for whittaker at gers.

Think if we pulled any of these moves off wuld both reduces wage bill and add quality replacements
There's as much chance of Manew or Chelsea being interested in me as there is of them being interested in Ireland.
And how on earth would we being reducing the wage bill by swapping Ireland for Cole?

When you've finished with it,can I borrow your time machine, its no longer 2001.

Unless you're Smiths agent,I can't see how anyone can talk him up,he's not the up and coming youth from Leeds anymore, and last I heard he was being touted for a move to the MLS.

Yes for me.  Relatively risk free if it is 'pay as you play' and no fees.

Hargreaves on as a pay as you play deal would be a great piece of business i he can stay fit !!

I'd like us to try and get Gio Dos Santos from Spurs, hasn't had a look in since he's been there looks good for Mexico and did ok at Barca.

Good. Why we didn't go after him and Woodgate earlier I'll never know. They're on frees, PAYP, we only have one game a week all Summer and they give a bit of experience to allow Clark/Delph.

Hargreaves - 45k a week on a PAYP is potentially a very good move.

45k a week? Even on PAYP that's excessive I think. I wouldn't be totally against it, as long as it's not an either or situation with signings. He's not reliable enough to be depended upon, and if it is either or, we should be looking for someone who is capable of playing a full season without an unduly high risk of injuries.

hargreaves on a pay as you play deal is genius. Total cost to us including wages =£0.

While we're at it offer the same deal to dean ashton.....

Honestly we don't need a RB. Herd will do and we still have  Happy Day on our books and there is always Carlos. If we buy it has to be a quality real quality wide man and/or centre midfield.

I think we are 2 midfielders light still. I agree on the right back comments. Makoun and Ireland going for 2 that Eck trusts to play would be more use.

You forgot Lichaj. I think he is a very decent right back who was a bit unlucky to be frozen out by Houllier.

Frozen out?

Wasn't he on loan at Leeds while Luke Young played most of the season as first choice?
