~The Hogg deal seems like a bit of a sideshow, really; hardly going to change the club's finances / transfer pot. I quite like Gogg but at 22/23, he's probably not going to get enormously better, so I don't think he'll be a great loss.

Young and Hogg both gone. I hope it means both will be replaced with a world class defensive midfielder and a world class full back.

With all the exits this summer, I never thought we'd see Luke and Hogg leave as well...this cost cutting could cost us very dearly. If we dont sign a couple of players this week then its going to get a whole load worse before it gets better.

Does anyone know if we're talking to or are considering specific players?

Sky reporting Makoun to Olympiakos is back on with a loan initially and a permanent deal on the table after the initial loan. I reckon we might see this happen and maybe 3 players in before the window shuts.

We cannot be getting rid of this many players unless we get several in.

I will be disgusted if we get rid of Makoun. That will be the straw that breaks the camel back for me.

What the Fuck is going on selling all our good players and not even replacing them?!

Got a strange feeling Hutton and Palacios may be a goer. Based on nothing but logical need. Hutton is obvious, but Palacios would replace NRC and give more protection than Petrov and Delph. Still think he would want a forward too.

I reckon even if Jean Deux goes we will get only one player in.

We'll need more but we won't get them.

I feel quite sorry for Alex in all this. He's been dealt a poor hand.

Hutton and Palacios would be good signings if we could get them.

He has been royally shafted. Quite how they sold it too him I am not sure, although 1.5 million a year would help, but the General made hte hoo har about him being backed, and there was talk of a 40 million war chest. He has been bollocksed from the start. Lost the 2 best players we had, only been able to replace one, and had to make compromises in other areas. Top 10 with the squad he has would be a remarkable achievement in fairness to him.
