Selling a reliable player like Young is never a good idea especially when we've started off well defensively and losing him could upset that.. They say The Europa Cup isn't worth much if anything.  Perhaps £5m if you win it.  So now Cuellar is back training he could well still be off.  Would certainly placate the Rangers fans.

Today McLeish said of Luke's move that if he goes he would want at least one if not two to come in, adding we need some experience.

I'm a bit disappointed in the sense that we just seemed to have reverted to a reasonable, settled back four again which is always a good thing to build on. On the other hand, Young is hardly irreplaceable in my opinion.

I'd be fairly happy with Cuellar or Lichaj playing there this season (although Carlos there does limit attacking threats....), and if it should mean Hutton arriving then, well, he's at least as good as Young.

Don't make sense to me. We had a reasonably easy start to the season and we've capitalised on it so far. Now we're mucking around with a winning team and selling another 1st teamer for the sake of probably a million or two at most As you say if it comes off then he'll get the plaudits, but if it blows up in his face......

Luke Young was injured and unavailable for tomorrow. Lichaj or Beye will play right back until Cuellar's fit I presume.
