Gibson is not such a bad player IMO. There is a lot of hyperbole about how bad he is. He's just average.

Signing Gibson would be better than signing Bullard or Alan Smith but probably not as good as playing the players we already have. I'd like a step forward rather than one sideways or backwards.

I wouldn't give them £3.50 for Gibson, he's complete and utter shite.

Well the darron gibson story reported in daily mail
It's still an awful idea.

I would happily play any of Petrov, Delph, Bannan, Makoun or Ireland before Darron Gibson was allowed anywhere near our midfield.

I just don't like the idea of Man Utd using us a club that will give them money for their surplus to requirement mediocrity, whilst, at the same time, giving them a clear run to tapping up our best players.  If McLeish took this Steve Bruce "Fergie Stooge" route to Villa squad building I would be incredibly worried/miffed.  Hopefully this is all Daily Mail nonsense.

Barton would be perfect for an 'orrible cxnt such as Warnock - a manager who has instructed players in the past to break legs, lets not forget.

A match made in scumbag heaven.

Well, since we asked for his advice when we recuited our manager I think there is some "institutionalised" Fergie stooging going on at Villa, sadly.

Gibson is not an improvement. Bannan and Delph are better. So why even think about wasting £3.5m + wages ?

v Reading away during Steve Coppell's time there.  The normally mild mannered Coppell was livid.  Understandably so, really.

Gibson would slot into the Sunderland midfield comfortably. He is rubbish.

People did not want Hitz back, and Gibson is like a shit, fatter, right footed version. How many players leave United and ever play better? We have had the one exception in the 80's lets be glad of it and move on.

Sell them our best and we buy their rejects.  This has to stop, on both counts.

So Nasri has finally left Arsenal. Another day, another £25 million spent by Citeh.  Yawn...
