Modric isn't world class, but he's absolutely brilliant and one of the best players in the country.

We were linked to Fofana yesterday, sadly it was by Talksport. It said he has been in excellent form and avaialble for £1m.

Lazy journalism following what happened last year.  Can't see it now that Gezza's gone!

We should try and work out a deal with Parker where we pay his wages and pay them per appearance.

Let Cuellar go, even if it's for £1m. Allow Heskey and Beye the free transfer they'd get next year. Try for Hutton and Saha.

Parker has Spuds written all over him when Modric goes and a pay per play deal???

heskey and beye are with us because of their wages and will be quite contect to pick up their 50 and 40k per week until next season

Parker would not accept such a deal and Emule and Happy Daze would be lucky to be offered half their current salary elsewhere so they are happy to sit tight for another 9 months.

Beye and heskey are going nowhere

Petrov has a further 2 years so he aint going anywhere

Looking at it logically, the loan fee for Parker is rumoured to be £4m and lets presmume he'd be on £60k a weel, which we'd pay all of.  To be accurate the loan would probably end mid May when the season ends, so 9 months at £60k a week is circa £2m and therefore a total outlay of around £6m.  Would or could he push us up 6 league places to pay for himself?  Worst case scenerio he does nothing for us and we waste £6m, but that's a definite amount with a clear and near ending, unlike the deals for the likes of Beye.

To me it seems like good business snese to do this.

At least Petrov is playing and contributing.  Which you could argue of Heskey aswell, I suppose.

I'm in the just don't see the fuss with him camp too, granted that may change if he plays further forward, at the moment he just seems a tidy safe player.
Is Xavi just a "tidy safe player" who should play further forward as well?
Xavi is the best passer of a football in world football, a truly world class individual, im not even going to get into any kind of debate were the two are compared.
Well, you've spectacularly missed that point.

Well done you.

I mean we pay West Ham per appearance he makes. We pay his wages regardless and then West Ham get a sum per appearance which counts as his loan fee.

As £4m loan fee is ridiculous if he gets himself injured.

west ham described qpr s £4m offer as ludicrous apparently - the required fee is £8m as it stands but i guess they may consider £6m as time moves on.

i certainly dont see a £4m loan fee as good business .

As I understand £8m is for his transfer and £4m is for a 12-month loan.

not worthwhile unless we had a davies style option to buy him at £4m in 12 months time and a £4m loan fee now-unfortunately as things stand we cant cant afford him either way but he would be exactly the kind of player we need.
