Personally I hope Modric stays put.

Not out of any desire to see Tottingham socking it to the man. More because I've never believed 'arry's sincerity in wanting to desperately keep him.  He's just wanted to see the offer go closer to mental money before biting.

If Chelsea pulling out of the deal scuppers Tottingham's chances of landing Madebeyor and Lassa Diarra then good.  They'd be better with the latter two than they would if they just kept Modric.

I don't understand what the hype over Modric is all about, granted he's a tidy player and sprays some decent passes around but for him to go for over £30m is way way over the top imo.

I have to agree, i've never seen a Spurs game and been that overly impressed with him.

Of course not clampy, I'd like to see Makoun in the team personally but I must admit I was impressed with petrov on Saturday and I can't see Delph or petrov being left out after their fulham showing.

I do rate Makoun and think he could be a pivotal part of our season and I hope that is the case.

Regarding modric I'm sure Harry will be privately licking his lips at the prospect of diarra and adebayor  on loan and £30m plus to spend on other players.

I agree, i think Makoun has got the potential to be very good. Petrov and Delph away from home maybe, but not sure about at home though, but who knows.

I just wish you would'nt go down the road of believing everything James Nursey bloody writes, and then defending it when people say it could be rubbish.

Come now clampy I don't believe everything that nursey or anyone else reports for that matter- nursey does talk to mcleish a lot in his job though and his opinion of things at times can be very insightful.

Ultimately only time will tell, but I do hope Makoun proves to be the player I think he is , and shows the form he's capable of - if so he will be a huge player for us.

Some people amaze me. If you are not impressed by Modric i dread to think what chance anyone down Villa park has. He is world class in my opinion, very similar to David Silva in the way he plays, accept he has been playing in a deeper position hence the goal return.

I think he is good Eastie but "World Class" I would say not and he is not as good as David Silva, I think he is on a par with Nasri

Would love to get Junior Hoilett in to take some of the pressure off Albrighton and I think he will turn into a cracking player.

Modric is only world class in a Lesbian lookalike competition.

Modric is world class in my opinion, he is on a par with Da Silva and Nasri.

For me a player is world class if they could play for/improve one of the best teams in the world, Modric would walk into every team bar Barcelona IMO.
