Frank moss a vila player of 1920s

Nice touch

wait theres another one

which one are u related too ??

Humoring or otherwise?
Uncle Frank was Villa captain (and England!) in the 20s.
His 3 boys (Frank jnr, Amos and Dennis) all played football, Frank jr and Amos for Villa and a few other clubs. Dennis for Worcester City.
Frank jr follwed his dad's preference for being a no-nonsense centre-half who didn't believe in taking prisoners!
Uncle Frank ran the Grosvenor Arms in Worcester for 25 years after he stopped playing. Last time I went in there was picture of Uncle and the boys on the wall.
The boys (in their 80s now?) moved to the South West and I lost touch many years ago.

I see harry says now it's difficult to hold modric and it looks as if he will be sold after all- with adebayor and diarra already lined up Harry reckons he would use the modric money on 3 more players- like a kid in a sweet shop giving Harry £35m .

Not just us suffering as everton have revealed they must sell to buy players now- feel sorry for moyes.

Any Decision yet on the qpr bid for Scott Parker?

Regards Modric thats a deal like cesc spurs holding out for money and saving face not to give in

Luka wants champions league and to basically be at a big club in a peaceful area of london

The spurs board have to look like they are holding on to players to appease there somewhat deluded fans.
conincidently these spurs lot will hopefully lose tonight to hearts - thats 5/1 odds! and gett a bashing from man u aswell ha bottom of league going onto september ??

Believed the modric fee will be £35m-spurs i expect will play a vastly weakened team tonight and i think harry would be quite happy to go out rather than risk a potential 19 games which it would need to win that trophy.

Bridge is shit and on mega money.

Bridge was excellent before he went to Chelsea, as was SWP, Duff, Sidwell and I fear Daniel Sturridge will go the same way - he wasn't even on the bench against Stoke last weekend. Just shows, lack of games ruins players - take note MIlner, especially when Nasri arrives - you might not even make the bench!

Sturridge was suspended

Some loan options:

Drenth (was at Hercules last year so...)
Gago (DM at Madrid but well out of the first team picture. Hardly played last season so must be looking to move)
Sturridge (I think I just saw that Chelsea had signed that lukaka (sp?) the young Belgian striker so Sturridge is one place further away from his desired first team football)

All are better than what we have, probably available and could come with a hope that they'll sign permanently next season.

mcleish made pretty clear on saturday than nobody will be arriving unless somebody is moved on , so unless something happens unexpected id say we can forget loan deals too.

Merely speculating eastie on players I would like us to bring in. Besides I always take managers press conferences with a pinch of salt.

Interesting to read nurseys column online how highly mcleish has been praising and talking up Delph , but im a bit surprised mcleish is said to be 'not a big fan of the Lightweight makoun'.

Why, it's clear that that's what he is.

I think Makoun is a decent player risso and like many others needs time to settle and find his feet in the premiership, I think he needs to be given the chance to prove himself- I still believe he could go on to be a very good player for Aston villa.

Makoun can be a very good player for us, his passing is excellent.

I keep hearing fans say this, but other than his debut game he's been pretty poor in a Villa shirt.
I think he's a waste of money.

Funny, but that's pretty much what I feel too. Thought he looked really promising at first but shown little since. I can only assume he's got more to come and we'll only see that given a decent run. Unfortunately that seems to be the case with a lot of our guys at present (Delph/Ireland/Bannan/Albrighton), therefore too soon to say whether he's a waste of dosh or not.

I think Makoun looks like a very good player.......but I wouldn't be overly surprised if he was sold this month. We'd get a decent fee for him, plus it'd free up wages and we could possibly bring in a more, er, typical defensive midfielder.

In fairness to Makoun he came into a side threatened by relegation in a different country, and has only been here 8 months. Give him a chance.
