Once United targetted a winger to replace shagger Giggs - there was only one outcome - but we made a good bit of money on a player with a year left whom most of us agreed had gone stale with us

As for Downing - i liked him as a player but lets be honest £20mil and we get at worst an equal player back in return

Bridge has had a serious of bad injuries and traumatic luck on and offfield - attacking wise the guy is still a decent footballer.
