we should have Nzog wide left, Albrighton wide right, bannan or the mentalist in the hole with Delph and makoun behind
agree 100% and add to that Gabby as an impact player off the bench and add heskey into that if we need to "defend from the front" whatever that means

That would be my preferred selection, too. Good balance, good mix of player in there. You could always have Gabby as an option for the attacking right-sided player if Albrighton's off his game. Rather use him there than wide on the left.

What Eck has got to do is get out of this mentality of defending from their half in numbers and then "hope" to knick a goal

It may have been what was acceptable at the Blues but with us, especially at home we have to use what flair players we do have and go to win the game in an entertaining way

Nothing will turn the crowds off more than boring , negative , anti football

Agree with all of that

We have talented fast wide men and in Bent probably the best positional CF in the league. Get the ball out wide and quickly and then good early balls in to Bent.

It's hardly something that Steven hawking needs to work out

Bellamy is on big money. In think Man City paid his wages at Cardiff but there's no way they'd do that with us.

Exactly

he was on something like 70k per week and cardiff were only paying 10k of it.

lets be honest if SWP and bellamy is the way forward we may as well have an "Elephants Graveyard" sign above VP

Although not a big fan of either players the manager got the best out of a few players who were heading for the elephants graveyard at The Sty, players like Bowyer and Carr were integral parts of that team when no other club would take a chance on them.

Obviously we already have a few players on the books who are in the 'rehabilitation clinic' so whether we need any more would be questionable.

He’s already acknowledged that he won’t get as much time as most new managers so as you say it would make sense for him to be a bit more expansive especially at home.

MatKendrick Mat Kendrick
#avfc asked about loan availability of James Milner & Adam Johnson, but #mcfc told them neither allowed to go temporarily or permanently

Might be clutching at straws here, but aren't they still supposed to be after one or two more players and that might change the mentioned players availability?  Still, if they're on the bench/starting I doubt it pushes them far enough down the pecking order that they'll be leaving.

However, with the Euros coming up in summer 2012 they'll want to be playing in order to get into the England squad, so that might mean something could happen in January.

mancini sees milner and johnson as part of his 1st 18 never mind his 25 man squad and has said neither will be leaving - city will be chasing trophies on all fronts this season and milner and johnson will both get plenty game time - hes told swp he can only go once he adds another winger to the squad .

Why is this thread still open? The board and the manager have repeatedly stated we won't be buying anyone else.

Sky sports "understands" there's no truth to the rumour in Sneijder to man city deal. If it turns out to be true though, wonder what that means for someone like Milner who's desperate to get first team football?

Hmmm...I wonder?

Nice thought isn't it? I really hope they do get him or nasri.

mancini has said this week he sees milner as a key member of his squad-no chance they would let him come here -pie in the sky!

bellamy or swp  would be loaned out but definately not milner , and from his interview last week hes loving life at city -get over him , its a pipedream.

We'll see I guess.

I heard that we'd asked about Milner, which is why I posted this a couple of weeks ago. Let's hope they get Nasri and it pushes Jimmy out of the picture a bit (more).

no he hasnt , he has said we need to move someone on before he can add to the squad as he has no money to spend -far from repeatedly stating he wont be buying anyone else.

percy i would love milner back , but city use rotation well and milner will get plenty of games and be chasing the title and champions league-he will not be returning here , and city need a big squad of quality players.

mancini has said the likes of bellamy , bridge, can leave but no way will milner or johnson be allowed to go and i doubt they would want to leave in any case.

Look at the title. It's an "out-and-out bollocks" as well.

Hear hear maidstone!
"Speculation" covers a multitude of topics as well.
Appoint Ron Saunders Director of Football, Dennis Mortimer as Midfield guru/coach and Gary Shaw as accent-to-be used-in-interviews Advisor and I reckon we'll go forward in leaps and bounds!
Or is that "out and out b*ll*cks"?

*Obviously a billionaire in the traditional meaning of the word and not the current skint one

Because we're done with speculation and transfer rumours, now we're all just spouting out and out b*ll*ocks. Which we're all bloody good at!

They only said we won't be bringing anyone in 'until we can trade'. Maybe we will get rid of a couple, there are 2 weeks left. As for loaning Man City's players, you have got to be fuckin' kidding me. Buy them or use what we already have. We are not Torquay Utd.
