as said on another thread, significant increase in revenue can only be acuieved by success on the pitch

Ozzjim there is a pretty thorough breakdown of the guys figures a few pages back. Not saying he's correct but I'd like to see your numbers against his, 65m sounds much better to me.

If anything he was a little ambitious about the salaries of the players who had left.

I see Daniel Sturridge wasn't even in the squad for Chelsea today. Was he injured?

Mirror reporting fulham are looking to sign luke young and say Luke is up for the move - they also say mcleish wants to sign Hutton if he can raise the cash.

well its been rumoured he wants to move back to London, but selling Young seems a very bad idea to me unless Fulham are offering silly money

I agree Greg, although kendrick did say mcleish would have to maybe sell other players if he couldn't sell beye or cuellar to raise cash.

I think midfield is more needy that right back but if like goes that changes of course.

Seems a false economy to me. I mean we agreed to sell him to liverpool for 2.5m a year back so its unlikely we'd get anymore now and then you have the cost of a replacement which is likely to be more. Can't imagine there's any truth in it.

I'd be surprised if there was anything in that. Selling a right back and buying another right back would'nt solve the problem we have. We'd be better off trying to get rid of Beye, who was'nt even on the bench on Saturday and trying to bring in another midfielder.

Agreed, but no-one will buy Beye with the wages he's on. I'm sure AM wouldd like him gone but short of paying for him to leave we're stuck with him.

totally correct greg , regarding young i suppose it depends on whether mcleish sees hutton as a big improvement on young or not .

I think we've probably been trying to sell Beye for 12 months, no takers tells you all you need to know.

We can always send him out on loan for the season and contribute a part of his salary.
The question is, imagining that somebody actually wants him, is anybody willing (or stupid enough) to pay, let's say half his £40k salary?

Didn't he have a chance to go to Ipswich on loan last season but refused to go ?
