But what if he is not good enough to play for us? Shouldn't we take the chance to loan him out? If we feel he is good enough and we need him then he should stay. If not, it makes sense for him to get some experience before we get shot so that clubs are aware of him.

I think we dropped a bollock under MoN in not loaning out players to give them experience. Now we have a few players in their early twenties with very limited experience. Players like Fonz, Herd and Hogg have suffered for not having more loan spells. Our reserve team was great but the players suffered for not playing at a more competitive level.

I agree, Villa need to make better use of the loan system. Take Walker for example, whilst playing for us he improved as a player, got himself in the Eng squad and probably doubled his value.

Anyone heard any more about Carlos, Rangers wanted him but he was away in Spain now its gone quiet.

Yep Oscar Wendt is so good he went straight onto the bench for BMG this weekend. In fact he was so good he stayed there for the whole game and they won against Bayern Munich. Inspired performance!!

And do you think he'd command a higher transfer fee having come straight from our reserve team or having played a season of high level Championship football?

If it remains to be seen whether or not he's PL standard, doesn't it also remain to be seen if he's a really good signing for them?
