Things must've really gone quiet on the rumour mill if we have two pages on a SWP. I read that he won't be loaned,and our spending is over,so we may as well speculate on us signing Hot shot Hamish!

Just seeing Nolan playing for West Ham,I swear I heard that we tried to sign him at the death,and this came from Nolan himself. Shame,he'd be far better than Stab nowadays.

nolan would have been a decent signing at what £1m, pity we missed out there, as regards swp mancini said he could go on loan but not until city have signed another wide player first.,seems sunderland and bolton are leading the chase anyway.

I don't think we are going to sign anyone but if we are to sign a winger I'd like it to be one of the many out there who are better than the headless chicken. We may not be Real Madrid but we can do slightly better than Shite-Phillips. Indeed he is someone we should bear in mind when bigging up our youth products. Wright-Phillips was such an exciting player when he broke through but his decline and how he has failled to kick on for various reasons has been sad to watch.

It would strike me as being like one of MoN's poorer signings. An overpaid player with premiership experience who was not quite as good as we needed. We could easily find a better player (one who might be able to cross) abroad or in the lower leagues probably for half the wages and fee.

What's this I hear about Hot Shot Hamish? His goalscoring record speaks for itself but would he be able to step up from Scottish to English football? Worth a punt, I reckon.

Johnny Dexter could well provided the steel we need in the team at the moment. I hear he's quite 'the hard man'.

She always reminds me of looking like a pretty girl who had a hairlip op when she was young.

The last few posts set me off down memory lane, so I looked up Melchester Rovers on Wikipedia. In keeping with the nature of the thread, this bit made me smile;

The following season was an eventful one, as Roy shook up the team by signing retired players turned TV pundits Bob Wilson and Emlyn Hughes, as well as two members of pop group Spandau Ballet!

Brilliant.

last time SWP scored more than 5 league goals in a season was 2004/05. He has been shit pretty much for 7 years.

No way.

Much better as a wide player than gabby or heskey -dont worry though i doubt swp would want to come here anyway , he will probably join bolton or sunderland .

He's hardly played in that time. His goalscoring record when he was a regular starter was pretty good (I imagine, can't be arsed to look it up).

It's a no to Sisters With Piles for me.

He was at his best, what around 2005?  Not a fat lot from him since then, in all honesty.
Wigan or Bolton nailed on, I'd have thought.
