It doesn't matter who he currently plays for or who he did play for in the past - he is not good enough to play for Villa NOW. 4/5 years ago and yeah I'd have said he was a good signing - but he fucked it all up for the money, and has lost that desire to want to improve or do anything. Another good example being Steve Sidwell.

I think Wright-Phillips is easily good enough. Still it's all about opinions, he could be the next Tony Morley or the next Daveeeeed Ginola. I reckon if we signed him you'd be pleasantly surprised. Certainly an offer of a loan deal seems a sensible option to me.

It seems that Stoke City are going to sign Palacios from Spurs (according to @gregfarrimond). I'd consider him a replacement and an upgrade on NRC, and someone who would fit into our squad perfectly at the moment.

Totally agree, having seen him a couple of times for city in the last week he looks hungry and fit and i must admit i was very impressed with him - as for having lost his desire -what bollocks!

Just seeing Nolan playing for West Ham,I swear I heard that we tried to sign him at the death,and this came from Nolan himself. Shame,he'd be far better than Stab nowadays.
