I like the sound of his left leg destructive threat, even handed.

Sign him up. Better than Heskey.

Chances are he isn't as good as either.

Always get excited about a potential gem when it's reported we've someone on trial. Wonder if he'll play in any of the friendlies?

Strange he hasn't had a full Japanese cap if his goal record is that good.
Japanese Second Division though. Probably not what dreams are made of.

Although Shinji Kagawa came from there and he's absolutely brilliant.

More than likely. I just like signing new strikers.

Its worth taking these players on just for the Yoda translations.

How long before Fletch dubs him 'Havenaar Wank'?
(ignoring that I've just done exactly that)

Otherwise a Dutch giant from radioactive Hiroshima?
Welcome to Villa (on trial) Mike van Gojira.

That lad Fofana is playing for and captaining the France U20's on eurosport now.

He looks the sort of player we need actually. I wonder if we could nab him for a couple of million and bring him on. Buying exclusively in the 20-25 year old bracket and 5 year deals is a sound policy now surely, but shutting the cheque book completely after the player we have lost is pure madness from the board.

Just watched Fofana first half. Looks pretty good. Think we offered £1m for him. But i think he wanted a load of wages ? And then failed a medical. Would be worth a punt on a 5yr deal with add ons if he forfilled certain progressive stages ..........

Think it was a 3 year contract. Which doesn't really mean much, just that Le Harve will get a slightly better fee for him when he does leave. There were rumours that he would have still been on the radar this summer if GH was still in charge.
Watching him tonight he look pretty good, no sign of that dodgy back!!

Just watched the Dutch Japanese lad's obligatory youtube clip and have to say, although it was Japan's second tier, some of the finishes were 1st class. I know it's a tenuous link but he looks as if he has something about him. 9 goals in 18 games this season in the A league, not too bad at all.

Lets no forget Porto's Hulk was playing at a similar level in Japan until he was 22/23 when he moved to Portugal. If it's true it just shows that it's nice to have scouts...

According to Wiki Mike Havenaar Laugh has been called up to the latest Japan squad so seems to have made the step up to the top flight easily enough.
