Ridgewell has been telling people that he's coming back. He was in the Cat and Fiddle with Paul Devlin apparently.

I only got told this second hand, so is probably a load of horseshit. I certainly hope so.

According to one paper today, he owes someone a large wodge of cash from his hastily-postponed wedding. So that'd be his signing-on fee gone.

On a serious note, he'd be tailor-made for West Ham. No matter how much money they spend, Gollivan will always have an air of comedy around them.

If Ridgewell comes back I will end up in hospital by the end of September due to his defending.

Has anyone suggested that swapping Barton for Beye? He was popular with Toon fans and Barton could have his £40k pw.

Why would we need to get involved in a swap deal when Barton is available on a free transfer anyway?

So we can get rid of Beye, who's less use than a big pile of nothing.

According to Mysteryman, we have NO interest in Joey Barton. Let's hope we have some interest in someone, somewhere. Two players in, is it 15 out?

If you're going to include half a dozen reserve cast-offs and Robert Pires in that figure you also have to include Academy graduates as arrivals.

He also said we had no interest in McLeish at one point?

In that case, may I be the first to welcome new Villa signing Joey Barton to Villa Park then?

I was feeling pretty shit from the moment on Sat night we had wind of the McCleish story ( I should have known better )   until I got a call around 10.50 pm last night and now things are looking a lot lot  better .  General Krulack wasn't in the Marines for nothing  an expert on divertionary tactics which are coming in handy at the moment as our lads sit in the trenches waiting for the call to go over the top  .
.

It is worrying that Eck could be an option though.

He was never an option he wants the job but we don't want him !

I can't honestly say that i'd ever put much faith in anyone claiming to be ITK, but if i'd made a monumetal cock up like this guy then I think i'd refrain from posting more of the same.

If we're going to re-sign a former defender that lad at Bolton seems alright. Gary something?

He is shit, I remember all the pens he gave away and all the shaky defending. Makes me shudder just thinking of him in the shirt again
