The argument about his character aside, are we in a position to take on another high wage before we shed one or two from the existing wagebill?

considering the saving on a transfer fee and the quality of the player id say yes , lets go for him , we have lost a few high earners recently .

If we get Milner back and sign SWP, throw in Lescott, we could become Citeh Old Stars!

Thinking about it, 2 out of those 3 would be perfect!

We can ask all of them if they want to bring him in or not.

I understand why people would want him and why people would'nt want him nowhere near B6. It's a tough one. The type of player we need but not the right person, if that makes any sense.

It does and my feelings too. I'd like to ignore all his faults (presuming we'd even be interested in him) but I feel like a hypocrite.
Still, there's no laws that say I have to like every Villa player. There have been one or two I've had little time for over the years.

Kills me to admit it, but he'd do well for us. He's a nasty fucker but he's a very good player. A massive step up from NRC, but he comes with a warning that he's likely to do something mental t some point. We'd be playing with fire, but if like the Force he can be controlled and not be seduced by the Dark Side, a powerful weapon can he be.
