It's quite funny how Spurs are desperately trying to sell all their old tat but nobody is interested.

I think we'll get by fine with Luke and Lichaj at right-back for the new season.

agree Zoggy - Luke Young is solid enough and he could help bring Lichaj along. Lichaj is improving and can play both sides too. Mind you I'd like to see us bring in a proper LB to challenge Warnock.

I've never been happier to see the back of a player than when Ridegwell went. Utter, utter shit, even slightly worse than Collins. Plus, we need a player to come in to start at CB. At least BJ would only be back up, as we are fairly good in that area of the pitch. That said, if we are going to play 2 up front and we signed Pavo from Spurs i'd be much happier. Decent player.

I just can't see any point at all in going for Ridgewell. For a left-footed back-up central defender who can also cover left-back, we already have Clark, who is already a better player than Ridgewell.

My best mate is a Baggies fan, and as they've been linked with Ridgewell i've been telling how very average the agent is. I'm going to look even more of a twat than usual if we now go and sign him.

Defence is fine DM position is a problem for me and if we do not replace Stan we will be in deep shit, he just invites pressure by sitting right on top of the back 4, can't tackle and all he does is pass back!

Maybe someone like Palacios or Diame would do us a job. We need someone similar to NRC. Someone to battle, break up play & sit in front of the defence.

I didn't see the Blackburn Asian Cup Game against Blackburn as I was on holiday, but didn't Clark come on and play the DM role? Ridgewell would be my 3rd choice left sided CB behind Dunne and Clark, maybe McLeish sees him as competition/back up for Warnock and Dunne and Clark as a DM'er?

I'd prefer someone who can play the CB on the right side as competition to Collins, or even better keep Cuellar!

If we do have to get a CB we should get Cahill back, but I guess money is the problem there.

There were witnesses, apparently, saying that McLeish said he thought Roger Johnson was no better than what we already have, so I don't imagine he'll be rushing to get Ridgewell.

We definitely need a midfield lynchpin, but I don't think Parker is the right fit. I'd like to think RL would release some more of the £37m we've made this summer to buy Capoue or Sissoko, 5 year contract which still only takes them to 27-28 plenty of resale value as security.

Thinking about I still think Mathieu Flamini would be a really decent option to play with Makoun in the middle, good technically and strong defensively. Still only 27 and I think he might be into the last year of his contract too.

I rate Hogg too, but if McLeish did he'd have had a run-out by now.

Christ, if we signed N'Zonzi, the user name changes in tribute would get pretty interesting.
