Aaaagh had a feeling they'd been taken over, popping up bloody everywhere now.

And Malaga in Spain have been splashing the cash, thanks to foreign investment. Not many bargains left in England.Hopefully the end of oil money ownership.
I heard about Malaga a few weeks ago, pathetic really how a nothing club will now pretty much be challenging Madrid and Barca at the top, just like Citeh here.
Yeah, stupid nothing clubs.

Why can't they just learn to accept their place in life?

I can't even see why they bother playing football in the first place.

Totally agree Dave. (Its late, but I think my sarcasm radar is functioning adequately)

I wouldn't be overly impressed if someone called us a "nothing club".  I'm pretty sure the fans of Malaga don't see themselves that way.

As a Manchester City supporter I know said last year, "Money only started killing football when it was us who had it."

I would also expect that if it was us spending hundreds of millions of pounds then we wouldn't be killing football.

It would just be that everyone else was jealous.

Now thats not what I was saying at all, granted the term 'nothing club' was a tad derisory however.

That's bollocks though isn't it? Lots of people have been saying it for years, It's just that things have progressed beyond the point of ridiculous now

Crumbs! This place would have gone into meltdown a few seasons ago if that sort of signing was suggested.

In fairness his finishing seemed much better last season and he has pace as well- looked a much better player at Blackpool and scored a fair few goals -a snip at just over a million and may be better suited wide alongside bent than either gabby or the fonz who both look out of place in that role.

Of course I'd much rather look for better quality but if finances are a worry then at that price he's a snip and I daresay Blackpool wages weren't high either.

Not saying we should sign him but its not as daft as it sounds- and unlike some I couldn't give a toss who he used to play for.

Scored 13 goals for Blackpool last season and started his career at villa as a trainee.

Can dj play wide? If so, mildly embarrassing as it is, I'd be tempted at that price. We lack options there.

He's a striker - and an inferior one to four strikers that we have already.

So it's a no from me.

If were going to waste money on a striker its got to be a good one. It doesn't take a genius to see without Bent were going to struggle to score.

DJ Campbell? Maybe we could swoop for David Nugent?
