Take your point chris , but city were rotating before Milner went there and he must have known he wouldn't play as a regular starter but would have to fight for a place- he got 22 games in last season and I expect similar this season, I think Barry is probably more likely to be cast adrift this season and Milner when he gets his chance needs to perform-he is not cast aside like Bellamy and swp but he is up against quality players and will not be a regular starter.

In fairness city had a strong midfield squad when he went there and he must have known he wouldn't start every week, I think he will see it out if he's involved as last season but yes if he fails to make the bench then he may look elsewhere, although I doubt it would be us- no harm in a cheeky loan attempt though, as you never know if you don't ask.

Milner just wants to play football, though, whcih is why he will sling his hook; but - as Chris says - probably not back to us. arsenal should buy him; Spurrrrrrs probably will.

If Milner just wanted to play football then he chose the wrong club- Mancini was rotating an already overstocked midfield before Milner arrived and he knew the score when he went there.

Which then-schoolboy said to a Man Utd scout who had come to watch him: "You're wasting your time mate, there's only one club I'm signing for"?

This sums up how I would feel if any club wanted to sign me as a player.  I couldn't care who in the world wanted me, Villa are the be all and end all.  This is why I love Gabby so much and I hope Albrighton, Gardner and Co. all feel the same.

Shaw was a proper Villa fan at school. Not slagging him, but he was quite arrogant about it, 'better fan than you' type thing. If you hadn't been to a particular game, home or away, he didn't think you were in a position to talk about it.

Interesting Mancini looking at a RW and a CM, JM further down the pecking order.

PSG have completed the signing of Javier Pastore from Palermo for €42.5m, it follows the signings of Kevin Gameiro for €11m, Mahomad Sissoko €7m, Jeremy Menez €8, Blaise Matuidi €9m and Salvatore Sirigu €4m, Im guessing they too have been taken over by some Arabs/Russians?

Petrov could barely last 75 minutes a game last season without noticeably tiring.

He's not getting any younger.

75 minutes was better than the 60 he managed the season before.

And Malaga in Spain have been splashing the cash, thanks to foreign investment. Not many bargains left in England.Hopefully the end of oil money ownership.

I heard about Malaga a few weeks ago, pathetic really how a nothing club will now pretty much be challenging Madrid and Barca at the top, just like Citeh here.
