Nowhere near, but a cigar put out in your eye.

Milner knew the score when he went to city that they rotate and he seems quite happy to take the cash and play when chosen- he's not the sort to make demands and is in many ways the model pro and a useful player for city- I do not think they would let him go and if he did leave it wouldn't be for here I feel- watching his interview last week what came across was how he was loving life at city.

This may come as a shock chris, but not all footballers are liars , and considering his wages and the quality of the players there along with his fa cup winners medal and champions league football, I think id be loving too- I'm sure he has no regrets about leaving.

Shouldn't this thread be closed now we've conducted all our business?

If he's available would be a great loan signing...

Queens Park Rangers manager Neil Warnock is lining up a loan deal for Manchester City defender Nedum Onuoha.

I'm sure he doesn't regret leaving but that's a different argument. The point here is whether or not he will play. If Mancini buys another winger and a midfielder, as he said he wants to, Milner might struggle to even make the bench. Champions League football depends on being selected, the Cup Winners medal was from the efforts of other people.

He won't come to Villa, we can't afford the grasping bastard, but I wouldn't be surprised if he starts looking elsewhere if he's overlooked for the big games again.

I was thinking ditto.

You never know, we're quite sneaky in transfer windows, I wouldn't trust us at all.

The quiet ones are the worst ;-)

Which then-schoolboy said to a Man Utd scout who had come to watch him: "You're wasting your time mate, there's only one club I'm signing for"?

This sums up how I would feel if any club wanted to sign me as a player.  I couldn't care who in the world wanted me, Villa are the be all and end all.  This is why I love Gabby so much and I hope Albrighton, Gardner and Co. all feel the same.

It's interesting to hear that Man Utd were as arrogant then as they are now.  I think they tried to snare Ron Saunders, too, at one point but the Boss - quite understandably - wasn't interested.
