I would be against having Jimmy back on loan, it would be detrimental to the progress of Delph, Bannan and Gardner, especially in a season where we won't be challenging for much. However if we were to have him back full-time on severely reduced wages, then welcome home Jimmy

If he did come back plus extra cover in defence then no reason why we couldnt be challenging top 6 in my opinion. I hope Delph proves to be the player that some think he will be, but I have a feeling he'll spend most of his time injured or suspended. Bannan and Gardner arent going to provide the steal required in our midfield by any stretch of the imagination. We need an experienced head in charge of midfield and unfortunately I dont see anyone in the current squad (including Petrov and Makoun) capable...so either Milner or Parker would be welcome additions.

The Cuellar story looks like it will be ongoing until hes fit saving Rangers a fair amount in wages...so probably will go through close to the end of the transfer window. If he does go, then we also need another CB at least.

See debate about ridiculous pay rise for the answer to that one...the grass isnt always greener but his bank account is a lot healthier. He moved for money and chances to play for honours, but looks like he'll only get one of his wishes come true at Citeh, so if he wants to play for his country then him and his agent should be looking to get him out of there asap.

I don't quite know how to break this to you but sometimes people don't tell the truth. On occasion footballers will say one thing in public and something different to their agent.

As ever, Milner will be happy while he's playing but pissed off if he keeps being left out for the important matches. For the second half of the season he only seemed to get a start when they were resting more important players.

That said, even if he does want to leave it won't be to us.
