Its a shame the cheque book has been closed, especially with the fire sale on down the road. A cheeky 5 or 6 million bid could get Dann.
The way things are looking over there we might get him cheaper than that.
clampy ,you old skinflint.

I reckon its us !!
Shame they are after Hulk because if they wanted Bulk they could have had Dunne for £10m!
fook me , he aint worth that , unless they might use his medical expertise at other times.
Haven't Birmingham got 'a once in a generation' winger coming through their ranks?
No idea what his name is. Alex should use his inside knowledge to raid their youth set up.
Jordan Much?
Nathan Redmond
Oh I do hope they sell him. We're distantly related, which is embarrassing.

If that is true Porto are absolutely nuts.
I 've seen Nathan Redmond play a few times and he is OK. But we have a player who is two years younger, who is regarded as the best young winger in his age group in England and who every major club ie Arsenal, Chelsea, Manu etc wanted to take from us called Jordan Graham so I think we will pass on Redmond. Not only that but we have a lad a year younger called Jack Grealish who is just as highly rated as Jordan.
These two together with 16 year old striker Callum Robinson are the best front three prospects we have had at the club, at the same time, for years.

Aye, they are causing something of a stir.

Much like the Moore brothers did you mean? Almost every club will tell you that at some age bracket they have 'the next best thing' coming through, very rarely does it happen. Having said that, I hope these lads are the exception to my previous statement.

Well if it is us I want my finder's fee as I recommended him a couple of years ago on here. Saying that, his fee then would have totalled less than Harewood and Heskey's combined, so I guess I'm better off having waited.

The Moore brothers (never thought Stefan would make it) will forever be used as an example of why we should be cautious about the more exceptional youth players. And there is something in it, I admit. Luke had all the talent he needed but not the aptitude. There's always that chance.
But it changes nothing. An exceptional young player is an exceptional young player and the standard of our younger players has improved massively over the last few years and even amongst them the likes of Graham, Robinson and Grealish are standing out. Not only amongst our players but their peers.
Truth be told, unlike the likes of Albrighton, Clark, Delfouneso and so on I haven't had a chance to see much of these younger players. I'm going on peoples opinion who I trust. But there's a big buzz around those players. More than anything we've had thus far. Certainly since I've taken an interest in the academy and reserves.

I bet Man U etc are rubbing their hands with glee that we are putting in all the donkey work for them.

Is he really all that? I always thought he was just okay god knows how much that makes Messi.
I still dont like the stupid idea of using a nickname, might be old fashioned but de Souza sounds better than Hulk
While I understand the wage bill issues, if an opportunity came to sign Dann, who I reckon will double his value in time cheaply due to their situation, I would take it.

agreed , even if randy wont pay now it could worth trying to broker a davies type deal with a loan fee now and view to a permanent deal at the end of the season , although i guess blues would have lots of cash offers if they drop the price and i hope randy would see dann as a good long term investment and stump up the cash.
i see foster is talking to albion with a loan deal becoming permanent at the end of the season reportedly.
I agree, we should not allow the likes of Stoke to get Dann if he's available for a reasonable fee.
McLeish must know his ability and potential better than anybody and though we have good defenders already, there's room for one more, especially when Cuellar leaves. And even a rejuvenated Dunne has a few years left at most.
I'd like to think that no matter what has been said in the press recently, if a good deal is there the money would be available.
Peter Pann did say that he's going to have to make some 'unpopular decisions'. Maybe selling Dann to us for £4m would be one of them. There'd be uproar over there.
