Personally if AM is telling the truth about 1 more player in, i can see a few loan deals happening. I'd like another option at full-back at least.

1 more player in before the Asia cup was the message I think. I wouldn't rule out any more permanent signings yet
But I agree, he has form for getting decent loan deals done and I think we can expect a couple.
I'm not as opposed to them as I used to be because players are so transient now that they are little more than extended loans anyway.

Given Luke Young's versatility, I think we have more full back options than people realise.  Say we start with him and Warnock as first choices, then should either get injured Cuellar or Lichaj could come in, depending on the oppostion.  If they're 'easy' then Lichaj and if not then Cuellar to keep us more solid.  I also think Clark did OK at LB last season.

Of course, should Carlos go then we are lacking any experienced back up.

If I could pick a loan signing, it'd be a reserve from one of the top European clubs and be a DCM.

I actually think that Luke Young is a better left back than right back, and what's more he's better than Warnock at it as well.

He said one more for the time being and then he will assess the squad to see what else he needs. It's a big difference to stating definitively that he'll only sign one more player.

From the Mirror, via Sportinglife.com:

"Nigel Reo-Coker's move from Aston Villa to Bolton is in doubt over his wage demands."

Says it all!  ::)

Sounds to me like he's pricing himself out of a move to anyone.

I think it's time he and his agent had a little re-think!

Luke Young as right back, with Beye covering is enough, Cuellar as third. Warnock with Clark backing up, also is good enough.

Isn't Mahamadou Diarra a free agent at the moment?
We should get him for a defensive midfielder option.

Isn't he a little slow and old for the PL? I think he's good as a two man DM combo, but it would make us pretty negative. I thinkl he played under Capello in what was arguably one of the most boring Real Madrid teams of all time despite it's success.
