Mcfadden? Fuck off he didn't play a game? He's injured all the sodding time

Great. An ageing has-been centre half from a relegated side and a forward slightly less prolific than Heskey. On second thoughts i think Lerner needs to put the club's future first and cut back a bit more. Complete ban on incoming transfers should do it.

I would'nt worry about that story Phil, it's in The People, who when it comes to footy stories, are as about as reliable as The Mirror.

If you make up enough bullshit the odds are that once in a while you'll get lucky.

They're all 99% bullshit whatever paper you read. The Mirror's no worse than any other publication.

Bearing in mind he's supposed to be a journalist, it's his job to get something right at some point.

True, if you limit yourself to tabloids that is. The quality papers tend not to have pages and pages of rumours.

most of 'em do nowadays. Papers like the Guardian are just as bad and its no wonder when you find the guy now pretending to be a writer on a broadsheet started off on the gossip page at the Daily Star. All of them are cut from the same cloth.

Damn you Lerner, thou will be judged upon baseless transfer speculation, and critcised for not spending by a man who hasn't contributed anything financially to the club in five years.

I've never understood why papers and lads mags sell on the basis of 'tits'.

If you want to see birds with their kit off, you'd just buy a jazz mag wouldn't you?

McFadden I can see being bollocks but there may be something in upson- if cuellar goes we may need cover and as he's on a free mcleish may consider him on a yr deal?

Leeb  the tits comment was a flippant remark  and not a serious point.
Some good sports journalists do however work on the tabloids but I agree a lot of transfer rumours are made up bullshit.

We're allowed to discuss these rumours Lee and i do find it a bid odd that the ones you don't like are baseless while you're quite happy to talk about the ones you want to happen

seems a bit daft selling cuellar and then getting in someone who's 2 years older and probably wants more wages
