Funny when a manager comes out and says something like I'm only looking for one more big signing, the bullshit merchants stop printing their faitytales! I imagine if we get N'Zogbia or a good version of McGeady and AMc then says, "Well we may look into the loan market for 1 or 2..." then the fabrications and wild guesses will start again.

think you're right. With just the one player coming in, it doesn't leave much room for bullshit. Likewise with the squad stripped to the bone already you can't really make up a convincing departure story either

Hope so too, but SSN said yesterday that McMoist wanted another 3 defenders before the Malmo game! Seems a little excessive, but probably leaves the door open for Carlos.

He wouldn't be able to play against Malmo anyway, he's still recovering from the operation. Didn't they buy a defender from Hearts as well though.

In other news Chelsea agree fee with Barcelona for one time rumoured Villa target Oriol Romeu. Ball playing defensive midfielder, maybe putting an end to their Parker pursuit?

Would have liked Romeu, very good young player, fee rumoured to be just £5m

I wonder how skint Rangers are. Just normal SPL skint or Villa skint? Whatever you think of Cuellar, 2m is a bargain for a decent PL defender and I would have thought they'd have bit our arm off by now.

Would like N'Zog tbh, but have to admit whenever i have seen McGeady i don't see as bad a player as some on here do.

fee was agreed last week greg , seems they are offering a huge drop in wages though from his wages here, its cuellar who hasnt agreed not villa.

That's right BLF although if a move to us was that imminent I don't imagine he would have been playing for Barcelona B, as he was when he got injured.

still seems surprising to me. You've got a player who's coming upto 30 so 3 or 4 years left in him. He can play centre half and right-back to a decent level for 2m. Like i said bargain and worth a decent wage offer, even if not upto MON type extremes
