Sounds like a stand-off to me, still think it will be resolved. Next move is probably for N'Zogbia himself to make a comment.

Mcgready & SWP hardly going to bring the fans back is it? Fuck's sake, we've made £38-£40m this summer and were being tight fisted over a million quid. £10m for Nzogbia isn't a bad price..

I find that unlikely and I'm not sure Kendrick has any line on this. I still think a deal for N'Zogbia will be struck and soon. I dont see why McGeady and SWP are the only alternatives either. I think this is him filling in some blanks to be honest.

I agree, I think Kendrick has been writing to assist the club's agenda on certain things to allow himself access to more inside information. Not everything he writes will be accurate, but then he's probably buying himself scoops elsewhere.

Yeah my thoughts exactly the only thing i can think of is were trying to send a message too clubs were still trying to work to some kind of budget.

But after loosing both our wingers i dont think we can afford to mess about with this one, the price seems fair just get in their and get him sorted please!

Forgive me if I've missed this, but has the £10m figure we all think Wigan want actually been quoted anywhere? As in Whelan coming out and saying "We want £10m for Charlie."

If not, then maybe what's happening is he's trying to drive a harder deal than we think and is playing the 'if Young and Downing are worth £Xm then......' card. And if so we're probably right to be playing hardball for a player with 12 months left.

I still think we'll end up signing him for around £10m.

Sure we will John. Whelan just playing his little games - he's got to work out a sort of sob story to tell the world and the Wigan faithful first with a positive slant on how he's helped bring the player on and is bringing in lots of lovely dosh for one of their best players.
Going away for a few days and expect N'Zog to be ours by the time I get back...and that's an order!
