We'll get some, this time next month we will have a whole new look squad. Randy and McCleish will sort it, no worries at all.
We havnt got a month i am afraid as our 1st game is the 13th of August

With talk like that you'll get shot on here. I agree with what you say. So far Given looking good for being unveiled early next week and our first bid for N'zogbia of 9 million turned down. I believe a 2nd bid of 10 million will be forthcoming soon (although those waxing lyrical/hysterical on here are screaming we pay it now and sign him) however there is the minor hurdle of personal terms which is another matter altogether.
Parker we are supposed to be monitoring but no bid yet depending on which paper you read.
Villa play their cards close to their chest and I prefer it that way to be honest.

I think thats just the way it is now with transfers, its not just us though, Ashley Young was joining United 'any day now' for a good month.

Its a long season, and we have got a month, more than a month before the window closes.
We'll get a some in before the opening game, and I'm very positive there will be more throughout the window. Don't panic.

Agree with all you say D, but you can understand the pessimism of a goodly number on here. AV's team needs to rebuild and we simply can't see much rebuilding going on. I'm sure things are in the pipeline and being sorted, but we are all anxious to see good things going on to counteract all the negative (and admittedly WEIRD) stuff that we have been on the receiving end of for some time.

No body wants another bad season, us, the boss, Randy and the players who are staying. We'll be alright. It will be a new look Villa.

No one is panicking mate but from the squad that ended the season we have lost Friedal, NRC, Young, Downing, Walker and Cuellar

Each one being replacable. Give them a chance to get the players in, we aren't going to apply the fistface approach and buy a team in 8 days

We have been losing good players for years. To be honest as long as I can remember.

We'll be fine. The manager has only been here 5 minutes. Randy busted a gut (financially and also against a barrage full of protests) to get his man. He backed Houllier last year, he will back McCleish this year. We have no choice but to have faith in the board and boss. Things are taking place, just not in front of our eyes, but they are.

I personally feel the biggest thing which can happen to Villa this season is a season of togetherness, a squad all pulling in the right direction. If McCleish can achieve this and add new blood we will do better than 9th and we wont have a relegation battle either. Then we will build again from there.

I'm off to Amsterdam on Monday. I'd love it if I came back to the signings of Given, Parker and N'Zogbia.
