His posts give me a migraine.
It always makes me laugh when people post a load of shite and then say "hope I'm wrong" at the end.

It's worse when they end with "Jesus wept"

Jesus wept

Perhaps more important than replacing our two departed wingers, is the need to sort out the spine of our team. We have no keeper, no consistent and commanding centre back, and no inspiration in central midfield. So yes, getting Parker should be high up on our to do list. But as we all know, our to do list is quite lengthy. IMO we need 5-6 decent players to come in now. A keeper (Given), a centre-back, central midfielder, a winger (N'Zogbia) then perhaps another winger/attacking mid and left back in addition. The latter two we could get away with leaving till Jan. As for the commanding CB, that could be Dunney if he wants it enough. If Carlos goes, we do need another CB though. I don't trust Collins at the back, and I don't think Baker is good enough should injuries put him in the side.

Make it so Eck.

Re defenders, I've written elsewhere that if Given comes into the side, Dunne and Clarke would be a great pairing, given that we'd then have the Republic's back three. Collins and Baker as back-up or another acquisition. I agree we need another LFB

Surely if Cuellar goes we will bring in Dann.

Ye wondering that myself. Now the scum seem to be selling players openly now. Maybe something is going on for Dann. But we must not let Cuellar go until we have a replacement .........

We've bid £9 million.

Just go up a mill and get him in Randy ffs - we've just ripped Liverpool off, use the cash.

If we had bid £10m straight off then Whelan would now be saying he wants £11m.

Nope, he'd be at BH having a medical.

why do people want scott parker
Is because he's a bloody good midfielder and better than what we currently have available a good enough answer?

So it seems a good chance of

Given £3.5m
Hutton £4m
Parker £7m
N'Zogbia £10m

If so, £24.5m spent.
Not enough and not good enough, we've gained £37m from Ashley and Downing (possibly an extra £2m from Cuellar)
Mr Lerner Sir needs to put at least £10m on top of that in.

I agree Fletch, but those 4 would be a start. If Cuellar goes add Dann to that and possibly a couple of others as well.

If we got those four we'd be fine.

Still 2 more required I reckon.
Replacement for Cuellar, possibly a left back.
The midfield should be okay with Parker there, if we're going to go 4-4-2.

Would like Huth from Stoke if Cuellar goes. We'd have 2x righties & 2x lefties + Huth scores more goals than Laursen did!

Should have got Woodgate. Half his wage is PAYP and on a free.

Why not sign Bowyer, Di Canio and Nick Griffin while we're at it? No ta.
