His agent Pedro Bravo said: “I believe Aston Villa and Rangers have agreed a fee over Carlos Cuellar. Now I and Carlos need to speak to Rangers, but that is all I want to say.”

Nice guy, capable player at centre half, but his opportunities will be limited already and if another defender is inbound, non existent.

why do people want scott parker, until the manager has good chance to look at midfielders in a game ( the players being makoun,petrov, delph, hogg, ireland ) thyen why get in another player. we stuggled at set pieces last season so we need to get in a centre back that can organise the defense

Parker was the player of the year, how could he not make a significant improvement to us?

i am not saying we would not improve us. but we have other priorties and also by bringing in parker you are saying the other especially makoun, delph or hagg could not fulfill that position

Thing is Makoun is a different type of player, Delph is unproven and Hogg is not good enough. We can sign Parker as well as a centre half, but we should definitely sign him.

We have not seen much of Makoun or Ireland and Hogg and Petrov are average at best. Parker is a proven top notch midfielder who will forfill that roll ........
