Wigan want ten mill.  Not nine, not eleven, not nine point eight five. Ten.  Pay it, buy him, move on.  Stop fannying around.

I just dont see why Chelsea have to look at Parker to begin with. They could and probably will go out and buy the latest and greatest French African defensive mid.

Aye Maz, if I were Chelsea MVilla lad would be my pick, and only about 22, they need youth and power not age and gnome like features. Parker would do great for us, but can't see him playing a lot for them.

Get the 3 we are in for and I will feel a lot happier. Get another winger and maybe another striker to replace Emile, and I will be delighted. As I have saud I think at 3-4 million Wright Phillips is worth a shot, and striker wise I would like a McLeish special, you know the odd South American on loan or something!

Sandro at Tottingham injured for the next few months might put a turd in the ointment vis a vis Parker, particularly if they offload Dos Santos for £10 million. Mental price for a reserve they had on loan out at Ipswich not so long back.

I've been surprised that Sir Twitchalot hasn't been in for him until now, but they're apparently operating a sell to buy policy - what with their board not knowing anything about football, an' all.

Wouldn't put it past old candleface to wait until we have a bid accepted -as he then knows the rate- and then piles in like the parasite he is to pick the bones.

Sami Mokbel and John Edwards from the Mail will be the only reporters printing Chelsea are interested in NRC. They have literally got the pick of anyone they want and they are going to look at Nigel Reo Coker ?? They have even reported that Wigan have accepted A £9m bid from Aston Villa. Think they have had a night out on the razzle ......

Chelsea in for NRC and Jenas. This has to be a piss take

So they're definitely ingesting mind bending substances on a Friday afternoon at the Mail then, that would explain a lot.

I like Nige, but I doubt that Andre Villa Boa Constrictor bloke has been scouting him for years, just waiting for the chance to make him the centrepiece of his side.

Given will be revealed on Tuesday at the kit launch. The club would like other targets to be unveiled to but time probably wont permit the way the deals are going.

I'm putting myself in Scotty Parker's shoes... why would I want to be a short-term replacement for Essien for a few months and when he returns I'll be on the bench mostly?

Devil's advocate here...

He'll get games at a Champions League club pushing for the title before the European Championships... If he succeeds they'll sign him permanently, if not then he'll go back to West Ham - if they're up he seems relatively happy there, if not then he's back to square one except his transfer fee comes down a bit and he's probably got more options open to him.

It might be a little disrespectful to him, but I ultimately it offers the chance to cement the slot in the England team going into a major tournament.

Playing well at Villa or Spurs will just result in whoever is in better form out of him and lardarse.

Hmmm...hope he's not reading this forum... :-X
