I haven't seen any news today, I am just in from work. As I said on another thread, they know our hand and how much we have to spend so they will demand at least £14m. We'll be lucky if they don't demand the price we got for Downing.

No they wont. Whelan has pretty much said he wants just over £10million. He is also in the last year of his contract and nobody will pay £14million.

Although in fairness, that bloke is described as "School teacher, Liverpool Cathedral guide, Liverpool FC fan and restaurant critic.", so I am not really convinced he's credible
