When it comes to wether or not to sign Scott Parker I would say, when you look at the teamsheet  which name would you rather see, Parker or Petrov?
Parker, but only just!

Petrov's a very good player on his day. Parker has many more of those days and is a far better leader.

I'm a big Petrov fan (name on the back of the Acorns sponsored shirt I have), but Parker is miles ahead as a player and Captain.

That's a tough one. Let me sleep on it.

Scott Parker would be more or less first name on the teamsheet, in my view. He'd be an excellent signing, regardless of his age.

He could quite conceivably play alongside Petrov, too. But I'd rather he replaced him.

Agreed. I like Stan's spirit, and on his day he does us proud, but Parker better all round

Depending on the system, and I don't it should be one fixed system you'd have a lot of depth and experience in midfield adding Parker alongside N'Zogbia, Ireland, Albrighton, Petrov, Delph, Makoun, Bannan, Gardner and Hogg

You just might have something there, curio...

Parker is a much better player than Petrov

I like Stan, but we've seen two really poor seasons and three solid at best ones from him. He also struggles markedly towards the end of matches as we're always saying.

Thinking about part ex offers, though ...... I could imagine Fat Sam going for Heskey.
