Negativity would evaporate in an instant if we could get

A Left back, Parker, N'Zogbia and a couple of  promising fringe players - £25m-ish. £17m of which we've recouped from Ashley.

Not too much to ask, is it?

And a goalie.

My guess is that we'll only go for N'Zogbia if we sell Downing as he's expecting Albrighton to play more regularly, he'll be 22 this year and f he doesn't do it now he probably never will.

Having seen Harry waxing lyrical about scotty Parker I would say it's likely he will go to spurs or Chelsea sadly. He is definitely the sort of player we need though without doubt.

Where's this cack come from that Ashley Young's fee is going to pay for Bent, which has already been covered by Milner's?

Exactly what I thought.

Wasn't it a 'tweet' from Mat Kendrick?

I hope not, he's normally pretty accurate.

Mat kendrick said it and also claimed only enough money in the pot for a keeper.

Did he? Can I see it please?
Also, Mat Kendrick is not the fount of all Villa knowledge.

It shouldn't be but it could be....

Isn't the AY money going to pay for Bent?

Parker I just cannot see RL stumping up the cash for

I feel a bit conned if the Young money offsets the the Bent transfer. After all, there was a balance of £18M from the Milner deal which should've covered the Bent deal. Unless I'm mistaken the only cold cash deal last year was Makoun at £5M. Am I right in saying that apart from loan deals (Walker & Pires), the net outlay since August 31st 2009 is £5M?

AM also said he didn't know if he would get all the AY money.

If the money from AY doesnt go towards Bent it is feasible that RL is using it to offset our ridiculous wage bill

Yeah, he also told Villa fans to their face that you dont tell the media how much you have to spend.
And after that speculative remark from Kendrick about only having money to spend on a keeper he wrote something else about having money for other targets a week later or something.

I'd imagine the losses we have made some money would go towards them - scroll through matt kendricks twitter if you wish to see them maz , you don't need to be a twitter member although a few posters have pasted his tweets on here in recent days as proof.

Seems fairly reliable as journalists go , but we will find out soon enough.
