Some of this is a touch harsh on sunderland.

Westwood is someone a lot of people on here would've been happy with, as is Larsson.
Wickham has a huge reputation and looks like a decent prospect from the little I've seen of him, I'd call that a replacement for Kenwyne Jones who've they really missed once things started going against them.
Gardner, Brown and O'shea are all the solid dependable types that has been mentioned and will all improve their squad.

They get a bit ropey after that but 3 good signings, 3 solid signings and 3 risks is a decent summer for me. All they've really missed out on is a big name to get the fans excited.

Compensation package also includes the coach and the Doc coming our way so not really. Now we have a doc does this mean we can now start pushing through transfers for medicals maybe?

Are you saying possibly around a £10,000,000payout between three managers won't have any bearing on what is spent in the Summer ? Or does AVFC have a completely separate pot for compensation ?
