Parker at the right price would be a great signing. Believe it when I see it though. Spurs' inability to move on their squad players could play to our advantage, but Arsenal could do with a player like that. If I were him I'd hang around a bit to see what materialises.

Out of interest, where have Bendtner stories come from? I think he's a decent player, i've always rated him.

Sky quoted wenger as saying almunia and bendtner were not going on tour because they are in discussion with other clubs - no club was mentioned though.

When i heard that yesterday i wondered whether it could be us for Bendtner (due to link with McLeish). I actually think that the bloke comes across as an absolute arsehole, and another one that has talent but only plays when he feels like it. We already have a few like that so its a no thanks from me.

I know what you mean about Bendtner, he's a bit of a big headed git but i've always thought Arsenal look a better team when he's on the pitch. He holds the ball up well and plays people in. Providing it was'nt silly money, i think he'd be a good addition and we could offload Heskey then.

There is a discussion in off topic about most unfathomable Villa signings. This would be one of the biggest for me if true. I actually thought he looked a decent player at the very start of last season but disappeared up his own arse after that. Regardless of ability, we don't need his 'type' of player anyway, don't see how he's fit in at all.

The other 3 would be brilliant though, just add a couple of defenders and that would be enough even if Downing goes.

even if we did do a player plus cash deal we would struggle to loose money on a very highly rated young CF when we sell on, he may be abit of a joke to us but in europe especially germany he is held in very high regard, there was even talk of him taking over from klose at munich

I said a while back that we should'nt do any deal for Downing until we have a replacement lined up. We can't afford to lose two wingers.
