I knew you'd be on the ball clampy , you old devil.

A claret and blue ticker bar would be ideal.

Must admit I did like the news of the world for sport and it's football pullout was very good- have always been a sun and notw reader since I was a kid in the 70s but they have overstepped the Mark badly- I will miss their sports news though.,in fact I still have the edition the day after we won the league at arsenal- oh what memories!

I don't need a sky sub, eastie, that's what you're there for.

Don't encourage him Paulie, he'll ask for a yellow ticker bar under his posts next.

Well the pre- season training begins tomorrow and as players are now back off holiday I expect to see a flurry of activity over the next few days , I much prefer players settled into the system before the 1st game so let's hope big eck has some aces up his sleeve.

Its very nice of Brucey to fatten up his old gaffer's coffers by buying all the players he doesnt want.

It's like the "adding a manger" cheat on the old championship manager.

I watched the 2010/2011 season review dvd over the weekend...

You mean someone bought that shit?!
Another purchaser here!

I actually enjoyed watching it (probably due to certain away games attended), but agree with rick... defending was shocking at times! Also, we're really gonna miss Ashley Young!

Juan Pablo I am at work while you sleep my friend-haven't had a sat or sunday off for 11weeks but I do finish at 2pm and have 2 weekdays off, thanks for your concern-I try my hardest to avoid overtime but we are extremely busy and recruiting new staff to help with the workload- co-op national distribution centre is the place to be if anyone is looking for a job- some of us doing 16 hrs a day to keep up with the work and we are even having to bus people in from London depots.

Anyway on transfer matters Liverpool rumoured to be offering Joe cole or ngog as part of a deal for downing.

As I have to work most Sat mornings I can sympathise eastie...getting to most away games is an impossibility for me...some of the home games are pushing it when we have early ko.

Cole? N'Gog? Why either of them? No thanks; give us 20mill and have done with it! Then we can look for a few players we really want/need.

I wouldn't take N'Gog, even though I don't think he's as bad as people say. Cole is a weird one. He's very, very talented, there's no way that can be just 'gone'. At his best, he's got double the talent of Downing.

Agree Frankmoss- fortunately I'm next to m6 and can get to villa park in 20 minutes or so , but the moving of kick off times is a pain - oh for the days of 3pm every Saturday.

Cole would be ok if we could get him back to his old form but I'd rather take straight cash and look elsewhere- ngog no thanks!
