Lichaj, Young, Beye and Hutton being the fourth.

I had forgotten about Beye.  Wonder how I managed to do that......?

I wonder if beye will establish himself as he gets a clean slate too- beye, Ireland and warnock would be like 3 new players added.
Considering the pressure McLeish will be under to get off to a good start, I think he'd be unwise putting much faith in those three.

I think Luke deserves the right back berth more than Warnock deserves to be our left back.  Let's hope we can shift Beye this window, but even then we are left with 4 full backs, 3 of whom prefer the right, I would rather it was 2 and 2.  Unless Beye and Warnock both leave I really can't see us signing 2 full backs, we have Cuellar, Baker and Clark to fill in if necessary as well.

On loan again?  That was the story doing the rounds recently.

Grayson said it yesterday on Skysports that he would like to take Lichaj back to leeds if Eck doesn't need him at Villa.

PS why are Villa starting training so late ? there is a lot to sort out ........

Are we?  I saw on the news that Spurs and Man City are back this week aswell.  How late are we and compared with whom?

The players report back to training tomorrow so not really that late.

We are 5 days later than the Champions - and you would think the rest of us would have to do more than they have.  Cannot see the point of coming back on the Friday , unless they are coming back on Friday for tests then start properly on Monday ?

i imagine this date is pre arranged well before the end of the season. But because we have so many things to sort out would of thought last Monday not Friday would allow more time for Mcleish to get to talk to several players who have doubts lingering around them. Ireland, Beye, Warnock, etc ........

He has spoken to Ireland and warnock on holiday apparently and talks were reported to be extremely positive- here's hoping they prove it.

He said when he joined that he'd be speaking to one or two straightaway and then everyone else when training started.  No names have ever been mentioned, as far as I know, but i took it to be Ash and Downing in relation to their impending transfers.

Was reported quite widely last week on radio and press.

Would have been odd if he hadn't spoken to them really as I'm sure he wanted to see where they stood on things, the invention of the telephone such a wonderful thing.

Lots of things are that have no basis in fact.

Just logged on and am thinking...when these guys joined us - Beye, Warnock, Ireland - I was quite excited at the prospect of what they would add to our aspirational, forward thinking team.
Now, I just think they're three tossers we could well do without!

Would still like to see the latter two doing their best for us though. Beye has ALWAYS looked sub-standard.

To be fair, I think Warnock started off well for us but then slowly went down hill and fell out with GH - Im sure this is something that happened at his days at Liverpool as well.
Beye has always looked shite and I'm still hoping Ireland comes good
