You haven't done your homework. Modric has 6 PL assists in two seasons. That's the same as Alberto "flop" Aquilani and he was on loan for one of them.

As much as i hate Spurs and 'Arry, Modric is a superb footballer that would get into any midfield in the world.

Moderic "is" a "world class" player and Levy has told him he is not leaving. Are you watching RL. Thats how it is done ....... Keeping Downing will install confidence in the team. Particuarly Bent. Now bring in Nzogbia and a Powerhouse midfielder and lets start looking forward instead of going into meltdown ..........

Bit harsh on Modric as he spent most of last season playing as a deep lying midfielder rather than as an attacking midfielder.

deep lying playmakers are meant to create and score goals? Dont remember Xabi Alonso scoring that many for Liverpool. Modric is a superb midfielder and just what Chelsea need imo.
