I know it might all be pie in the sky, but it would be fucking ace to have N'Zogbia down one of the wings with Diego in the middle. He really is quite tidy

Still think midfield is a bit light weight. I know Barton is a twat but he would put some steel around Makoun, Downing/Nzogbia, Bannana, Delph. Diego would really make the juices flow ..........

I don't want that piece of cock-cheese (Barton) near my club. He is scum, on par with J.Terry.

I'd rather have hard work and a bit of speed and agility in midfield than slow powerhouses with little technique. Not that Barton is the latter at all, I want him to keep the fuck away for very different reasons.

If, and my God is it a leviathan-sized if, McLeish signs Diego, he cannot possibly play 4-4-2 with Bent and Gabby.

Nothing doing as yet, but Fatty Arbuckle Cameron has been seen in an ill fitting Villa top, so that might jog the memory of our board.

A lot depends on if eck feels he can can ireland playing at his best- if he can then we would have a decent looking midfield.

I can't see us getting much movement out of Ireland if he's playing with a strait jacket on.
Instead of providing a defence splitting pass, he'll be shouting out 'I invented the banana.'

Also read that apparently the reason Liverpool didnt go for Conor Wickham is they have to get of some of there high earning, bit part players of their wage bill. Maxi Rodriguez for the right wing anyone?
It's not true. Liverpool do need to shift some deadwood but not so much that they can't pursue targets in the meantime.

I expect Kenny wants to keep Maxi. He really hit form under Dalglish and will play a role next season.

I think you could a lot worse than Jovanovic. He's a good player who signed for the wrong club in the wrong circumstances.

Jovanovic?  Not good enough if we are seriously aiming to strengthen.
Real Madrid thought he was good enough for them.

And they were wrong.
They never got a chance to find out.

Im sure we were linked with him a few times before pool signed him. Has done nothing since hes signed for you lot. Not impressed tbh

I would like for Ireland to realise how lucky he is to playing for our club, maybe Horatio can get that into his little baldy head ,  that he can put last year behind him and become a Villa legend. He has the talent to become that.
If Ireland hasn't already made up his mind that he wants to be somewhere else, ie. Nuuuuucastle, a joke club, Alex should point  out that he'll end up on the scrap heap up if he goes there, and the best club for him at moment are Villa and he should be proud to pull on the jersey and get stuck in.
If he doesn't respond to any of this, well then fuck him out of the club, and he'll see that  no one else indulge him for too long.

Personally I think Ireland is off as Eck will need money to strengthen the squad. You never know, he might do a stright swap between Ireland and Barton!

Both absolute twats with bags of talent, the difference being Barton puts in the effort were as Ireland can't be arsed, i'd take that swap.

He's been rubbish for us - no doubt about it. But he joined just as the man who signed him was leaving, he never got a run of games and he finished the season injured.

One of my pet hates is the lack of patience among football supporters. I was delighted when Lucas finally came good and shut up the boo-boys and I'd be equally as pleased for Jovanovic to do the same. Sadly, I doubt he'll get the chance to.
