Is Hitzlesperger going to decide today who he will be signing for this week out of Villa, Fulham and Blackburn? Heard he will be signing for villa earlier in the week but it has all gone quiet.

Whilst I'd like to believe Milner still holds a candle for Aston Villa, I think he's probably no different from any other player. He's currently with a top four club and would view us as a downwards (and certainly backwards) step.

That's not to say we won't sign him, but I would say that if he has the option of joining any one of last year's top six he won't give us a second's thought.

If Citeh really are thinking of moving him on I can see a few of them being interested too. Arsenal have been crying out for a bit of 'English steel' in their midfield for some time (well the fans have anyway). Liverpool seem to want to buy up every English midfilder going this summer and Redknob's revolving door is gonna crank up any day now ("Jimmy Milner is as good as it gets" etc).

Interestingly, when I asked my Citeh fan mate if they'd be selling him he said: "You can 'ave him". When I asked how much, he said: "Two-fifths o' f*ck all if you're asking me."

we have to get him in for 9 million . I've always rated him , hes been in a poor side and hes getting better every season . He has a brilliant shot on him as well.. He would be great down Villa.
