Not that I'd think he would come back (yet) but Milner was offered the same money to stay at Villa as he got at City.
According to General Krulak.

There could be some very tasty loan moves available towards the end of the window. Sturridge from Chelsea and possibly Milner -depending on what business Citeh do this summer,

You'd think that now they've made CL, the calibre of player they can attract will go up a notch. I like Jimmy a lot, but I've never been convinced that he's absolutely top quality. He probably belongs in the bracket just down from that, but still plenty good enough for most sides who'd expect to finish somewhere between 5th-8th.

Thing is, I couldn't see Citeh selling to the likes of Liverpool or Tottenham -even if they wanted him. But we won't be viewed as potential competition anymore. Harsh, but there it is. A loan move to us might be more palatable to them.

I'd not rule out loan moves. The rich clubs are still stockpiling good players who will never get a game, okay so we won't get to keep them and they go back to said rich club with a season of first team football under their belt, but I'd rather have had a season of Kyle Walker than not.

This is spot on. Loans are going to play a progressively bigger role too if the current financial way continues.

Jimmy on loan?  Yes please.  Tell Citeh we'll give them the Senegalese Dani Alves in a straight swap at the end of the season, providing Milner lives up to the hype.

I would happily loan Jimmy and Adebayor off Man City city for example, as it would make us a better team. Or Sturridge and Walker for another season. They may not be ours in the long term, but getting to watch them play well for Villa would improve the team, and thus possibly our final league position.

I really think sturridge could be loaned out this year and we should be in for him quick smart. Less convinced Milner will be. He played more games than you'd think last year.  Walker could be loaned again though.

Sturridge & Demba Ba will be a good strikeforce next season for Newcastle.

I'd love Walker back on loan, he really is going to be a very good footballer.

Gutted if so. They are getting some interesting players in up there.

Newcastle are assembling a more than decent squad, and getting their business done quickly and early.

Yes they are, and if Stephen Ireland gets the move up there that he had hoped would go through, I reckon that they will cause a few problems for teams next season.
But we have good strikers here, Gabby needs to get game time again, what a waste of a season for him last season, hope he comes into the season fit and ripping to score goals with Dazza. If we can somehow get into that muddled head of Ireland and get him set up in midfield, I hate to use the phrase, but, it would be like signing a new player. Mmmm.
Really excited about Albrighton for this season, a natural successor for Ashley, hopefully Delph steps up a few notches as well.
If Downing goes, what winger could we bring in, either on loan or permanent?

Any news on Bradley - is it true he's left the club?

No chance of spurs letting walker go now and I expect him to be a star in both spurs and England shirts next season- Hutton would be a decent shout.

Rangers offered 1.5m for Cuellar. Cheeky fucks.

An exciting box-to-box midfielder is what I would like to see. Was Delph supposed to be that?
