Kirkland was a suggestion for a 2nd keeper.
Hutton is a decent full back.
Parker was class last season, had the bite & drive we lacked at times.
Zamora has improved as he's got older. He can play the target man. Better than Heskey.
£10m for Adam? £20m for Henderson. Nothing more to say.

Yeah Kirkland as second choice would be ok, Hutton and Adam in particular would be decent shouts. I wouldn't go with Zamora, and Parker would be a maybe for me depending on the financial package required to get him. I wouldn't pay over the odds certainly.

I heard something similar about the N'Zogbia thing breaking down at Blues, possibly on here before, so not much chance of that happening and probably a good job if true.

My father-in-law's a Nose and he reckoned Blose had agreed a fee and personal terms with N'Zogbia when the player suddenly decided he wanted 20 grand a week more at the last minute. Blose refused and when the window was about to close and he realised no other deals were on the table, his agent called back and tried to resurect the original deal.

So my father-in-law says, McLeish refused to have any further dealings with N'Zogbia, and he reckons he would never consider signing him for us after he acted like such a c*ck.

It was an extra £10k a week and McLeish was annoyed with the agent more than N'Zogbia, that was from one of the Blues staff at Wast Hills a few days after it happened.

Fair enough Withey. I hadn't checked into the facts myself. Do you know if N'Zogbia still has the same agent?

I would love to get him but would have my reservations about his attitude. He's always in the press banging on about playing in the Champs League etc. A successful spell with us and he'd be off to a top club like a shot. We should still go for him though and just accept that he might be a short term solution.

Jarvis might be a decent alternative or Adam Johnson, would love to prize him away from City.

No idea I'm afraid. You're right on the second bit but if we are only signing players who display the Corinthian spirit its going to be a pretty short list of targets.

Parker is class.
A Johnson would be good but very much a wide player. Supermark should be starting wide. Could Downing play in the middle?
Not sure...

Ash to  manshitty is possible with a swap for wasted Milner.  City need a wide option we need Jimmy back in the centre. Jimmy will never play in the man shitty centre in the near future.

I though Ash to Man Utd was a done deal?  If he did go to City I would think it would be more likely that Adam Johnson came to us than Milner.  As long as it isn't SW-P all will be well in the world.

Adam has a sweet pass but is desperately slow (no, I mean even slower that Gazza Bazza).
N'Zogbia? - troublemaker I suspect.
New central Striker? - Why? Not a priority, in my opinion, with Gabby, Delfouneso and Weimann in the background.

Assuming we retiain Downing, we need two FB and a keeper as a priority. Holding midfielder and new CB would be a second priority.

There's not a great deal wrong with us going forward, so I don't know why we're even talking about new strikers.

It is at the back, with us needing practically an entire new defence, that we need to start working.

Anyone else think that this apparent £40m war chest will be because of the sales of Young and Downing? and that RL wont be opening his cheque book to add to it?

AM was asked in his press conf that does he think he can hold on to Young and Downing and he said "i dont know".  We all know Young is off for sure but it could also be the end of Downing at VP

So our Right Back options are Hutton and D Simpson?

Between Adam and Parker I would choose Adam. He suits better McLeish counter attack strategy, best set piece taker in the league- and with Young going, we will need that. Also 25 yrs old, only downside- he is a bit lazy, but with Makoun and probably Bradley he will fit very good.

Goalkeeper options are: Foster(10m), Given(3.5m), Green and McGregor(7m?). I would go with Given. My opinion is he is the best keeper of them. He might have huge wage demands, but he is available for 3.5m

I'm sure a lot of people do, but I'm not one of them!

Definately. I dont want us to play a 442 i want bent on his own up front been supplied by Albrighton and probably Downing and being supported by a couple of attacking midfielders one of whom would be Delph

Plus could Downing play in the middle? Only if they made it a tackle free zone

I still think that something is up with the AY to Man Utd deal its been a few days since the end of the season
