Campbell's alright but worth holding up Delfouneso and Weimann? Not at all.

My thoughts exactly. With Bent and Agbonlahor, we are hardly in desperate ned of additional strikers, so it makes snse to see how the young'uns develop over the season. IF we MUST sign an additional, then with that in mind I'd rather it was someone like Campbell ie cheap, and not bad.

It seems to me that too many of the players we are linked to are central midfielders (Adam, Barton, Gardner). We have Petrov, Makoun, Delph and Bannan in this position and it would be good to see the latter two given further chance to develop.

the priorities for me seem to be full-back, central defence and creative midfielder / winger. (Maybe football gossip on fullbacks gets less coverage than midfielders and strikers?)

Ben Foster. Quality keeper. Not many around that we could buy.
Scott Dann, good defender. We need one.
Charles N'Zogbia (to replace Young) This bloke has quality, should be at a bigger club, was a prick at NUFC towards the end, hasn't caused any problems at Wigan.
Junior Hoilett (to replace Downing (if he goes)), looked really promising in a very poor Rovers team.
Daniel Sturridge, I like him, but I can't see Chelsea selling, especially if Drogba leaves this summer,  or Danny Welbeck, can't we have him as part of the Ashley Young deal?
Kyle Walker, I really can't believe we've not made any effort to bring him back in yet, I assume we will do, especially now he's on is way home from the U-21's. I don't think Redknapp will sell. Alan Hutton is obviously worth a look, and so is Onouha from City.
Adebayor, undoubted quality. Undoubted Asshole. Wouldn't want to stay longer than around 12 months. Wouldn't touch him.
Joey Barton, IMO, a hugely gifted midfielder, can play any role in the middle. I'd sign him for his footballing ability, the rest goes without saying.

DJ Campbell, just read this one. Strange, but, he did have a good season. However, he was playing in one of the most attacking teams in the league, and Blackpool did create a lot of chances. I'd rather we gave Delfouneso a proper run. We will need a striker, I expect Heskey to go, pobably back to Leicester.

Can you imagine the mass protests and riots if we were to sign Barton? :D

What about if we re signed Gardner ?

Could we accept a fully fledged "nose" back in claret and blue ?

I'd rather Barton then Gardner.  What has it come to that we are discussing either of them ?

If he was younger I
The Mail are reporting that we're about to pay £1.25m for DJ Campbell.

FFS

If he was younger I wouldn't of minded but he's 30 this year!

I think Odemwinge from the albion is about that age as well.

Does anyone know any blose fans? They think dj campbell is arse frankly. I know their opinion of what a good player is probably a bit "iffy" but they can recognise a shite player - they've had enough of 'em. It seems we in a nightmare world where we make every blose fans dream's cometrue. What next, Ridgewell?

I know alot of Leicester fans and they thought he was awful.    They said he gets caught offside all the time too..

DJ Campbell?  Deary me.

I'd rather have DJ Nicky Campbell

If were were to sign him that would really make the top 6 sit up and take notice....

With Man United linked with Lassana Diarra, we should go for Park Ji Sung.

Fucking hell.
We appear have gone back to the 'good old days' of MON.
I'm hoping McLeish has scouts with a passport.

Park is quality. He'd probably get a move abroad.

Definite Yes - Foster, Dann, Sturridge & N'zogbia (or Gervinho - unlikely)
Undecided - Adam & Gardner
Definite No - Dudley Junior, Barton

I just cannot believe that we have come to point a point where some are discussing the merits of
DJ Campbell, Curtis Davis and fucking Craig Gardner.
FFS, it makes me want to weep.
