Normally I dont trust Talk Shite but they have had a bit of success recently.  I can see him wanting him as well.  I must admit I'm a bit cautious as I think he'll get "second season syndrome".

Been told that talkshite are saying  Odemwingie is having a medical at our place. Anyone else heard it?

Someone better tell AM we don't buy players until the last few weeks in August...

would be interesting .

Scott Dann rumours on Sky Sports

That's them putting 2 and 2 together and getting something to fill their hourly air time.  It may ultimately happen, but I doubt we've approached anyone yet with McLeish 6 hours into the job.

I can see AM doing what he did at the Sty - bringing in two CB from the lower divisions and moulding them into Premiership players. Wouldn't be surprised if he does the sames re LB.
Parker? - no chance.
Ireland? - if he despised the discipline of GHou then I suspect he has no chance with AM, and a get-rid deal will be done with someone to offload him as a troublemaker.
Gabby? - I'm sure he'll stay.
I think he'll hang on to Downing (like Barry, it'll be: give it 12 more months with us and then we'll let you go if you still want to).
He may try and do without a like-for-like Ashley replacement, using Albrighton as first-pick with Bannan and Delph as cover.

Critical areas: GK / LB / RB - no idea whom he'll bring in but wouldn't be surprised at McGregor as GK.

Green
Hutton - Dunne - Dann - Clark
Larsson - Petrov - Makoun - Albrighton
N'Zogbia
Bent

Ireland to get another chance. Ashley, Downing, Warnock, Beye to go.

Cuellar to stay and see out his contract.

That lot will be less than 30m, leaving us with a profit in the market.

lerner gone home, mcleish finishing his hols and faulkner getting hitched , cant see any deals being done this week.

Very much a last shoulder man, but scores goals. Not sure he and Bent could work together mind.

I was impressed with Odemwingie, and it would be a bitter pill for the "McLeish-anti-football" rants if he got him in and signed.  Fair play if he already has wheels in motion.

Surely their agents would have been tapped up at the same time.

Can't see Downing going, even if he wants to. Worth more to us in the next 12 months than any loss in transfer value.

I think Dann and Foster while both useful would be luxuries money wise when there is so much to do.

Odemwingie in and Heskey out would be brilliant business.

Must admit I've never quite seen what all the fuss is over Odemwingie - we have better at the club already.

Cool sounding name though!

please dont say gabby as his finishing is nowhere near good enough, if you mean bent then you are correct.

Haven't seen that much ogf Odemwingie, but  get the impressin that he would be dupplicating Bent's role. We need either a Keane type or a Carroll type forward.

For me my 1st signings would be Walker and N'Zogbia. Both young, both going to be very good.

Foster and Danns at £10m are too expensive for me.Mills at Reading looks worth a go, and i still think that there is a very good defender in Jonny Evans.

Midfield we need a good holding midfielder, and i have;nt seen many better than the young French kid Capote?

 Would'nt mind Junior Hoillet either.
