You can't see it, but pretty much exactly the same thing happened last summer with Milner and Ireland.

I meant that EffDee wouldn't want it to happen.

I think Berbatov is a fine player, absolutely magnificent and he'd be the perfect foil for Bent.

No chance with Berbatov. Would be happy to be proven wrong, but if he leaves Manure this summer it'll probably be for a big Italian/German club in the CL, maybe an Inter/Bayern or Juve (i realise they're not in the CL this year).

Given is a good keeper but the same issues as Friedel. Great shot stopper but stays on his line too much.

The pot won't be limitless, so we need to pick up compromises in some areas I am sure. Getting a couple of very good keepers on the books for less than 5million or so combined would be helpful. We still need a right and left back, possibly 2 support forwards and a central midfielder, plus a centre half possibly.

Absolutely, plus Given has back problems. He'd probably fail the medical.
