We'll miss the player he can be, not the player he has been for the last 18 months.

Ashley needs either a move or a manager that can get the best out of him to become the great player hidden in there.

I agree MK, for me AY is over indulged at Villa.

Needs to find that final pass, and finish.

Don't forget Swiss would struggle in the bottom half of the Prem.

I like Jarvis, always picks a player out.

We'll miss him because he's one of our best players. Yes he had a poor last season but then pretty much everyone did. Losing him, Milner and Barry is a lot of goals and assists to replace, and I don't think we've done it yet. Darren Bent was a fantastic signing but we need a couple more in that class.

Ash comments in the Sun post match today do not point to a done deal but you never know:

Young has been tipped to quit Villa Park with Manchester United and Liverpool interested.
And the former Watford man insists he will sit down with club chiefs soon and sort out his future.
He said: "I'm going away on holiday but I said at the end of the season I would speak to the manager.
"That is where it stands. Now I'll go back and speak to the chairman and we will take it from there."
